After dragging out information leaks, rumors, and benchmarking results, iOcean’s new flagship phone has finally been launched.
The phone has been dubbed as the iOcean Rock. It will be utilizing a MediaTek MT6752 chipset with a Mali 760 MP2 GPU responsible for graphics rendering. The CPU is clocked at 1.7GHz which should provide speedy performance.
The iOcean Rock is packed with a huge 3GB of RAM storage and 16GB of internal storage. It features a 5.5 inch screen with a 1080p resolution display beneath. Its touchscreen supports wet touch and can be woken up with gesture control.
As seen from the leaked screenshots, the 3-key navigation bar usually found at the bottom of smartphones, is implemented as an on-screen feature. This move strikes the “odd” criterion because the bottom area where the nav bar is usually situated has not been trimmed nor utilized for some other feature.
Network connectivity extends from GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. The rear camera is equipped with a 14MP sensor, while the secondary front facing camera will have a 5MP max resolution.
Other features include OTG, BT 4.0, hotknot technology, and fast charging. The phone will be running Android 4.4 right out of the box, with no word on Lollipop updates.

iOcean has yet to impress with a model carrying a decent-sized battery. The iOcean Rock is shipping out with only a 2300mAH battery.

I got a X8 mini pro….. so far so good, just some battery issues.
If I understand well this new Rock model will handle both Unicom and China mobile 4 G network using 2 sim cards ?

This phone looks great! However I got to the part about the baterry and couldn’t believe how under powered it is. Such a shame as I was very interested in getting this phone before that.
